The last one could also be won by playing a lot, a bracket tournament is played by putting everyone in brackets and then defeating your opponent in a best of 1,3,5,7. Winners go on till only one remains. See the tournament by Shaw.

SInce Mika stated that Bearclaw is stronger than Zahir (https://www.cabalsgame.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=395#p2248), I guess Zahir does not need a nerf and this whole thread has been missleading.

Let me just say that I became 2nd place for now with only Danann. (might have lost it again when others read this) But it is possible for atleast a small time.
I am Borg Queen Mab..... Resistance is Futile.....

Though void should just get back their power 4 :)

Well, a lot of players (including me) stopped playing yellow after the tournament so you have to take that into acount.

This is exactly the sort of false conclusion I personally love(not), while being a joke it may grow wings and start an unnecessary life of its own.
Zahir will receive a nerf, Clone and Mimic will be adjusted accordingly.

Where Buki noted in his other post, that people have drifted from Zahir to other colors since the tournament.
This very much sums up the big picture: If the top 20 players decide to play a certain way they dictate what dominates.
Most players in top 20, have high win% of 70+ and it will be so, no matter what deck they choose to play.
We cannot balance the players, plus there is no perfect balance in any game.

I can assure everyone, we're doing our best to make the game equally playable on all factions.
I would also like to encourage everyone to use their energy for positive and more rational/analytic thinking from which we can actually improve the game and reward the individuals that contribute.

We're initiating a map-planner: http://cabalsgame.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=410
It will be followed by a map planning competition and a community tournament.

Other means for user generated content are coming later.
We have not forgotten the threads about user generated card design either, we'll return to that later.

Keep up the positive spirit and lets make Cabals the best card game in the world together!
We have an excellent summer coming!

Cheers,
Mika

Yeah it's been nice recently, hardly any yellow. When I see Fucanalli come up these days it's like the school bully coming back from his holidays.

I'm trying to get four accounts into the top twenty before the next update but keep getting thawted, closest was 22 earlier but now I'm back down to 31 again.

Personally I have to give credit to Mip for coming back after a 2-week break and playing very well as Danann.

Well done! 8-)

The game is either ballanced and you don't need to nerf/buff anything, or certain cabal is stronger so you need to either nerf it or buff the others. Where is the mistake I made when I came to this conclusion?

Well the map also adjusts the balance, see the following map:

:op: :em: :r2: :ti: :ti:
:ti: :em: :r2: :em: :ti:
:ti: :em: :de: :em: :ti:
:ti: :em: :r2: :em: :ti:
:ti: :ti: :r2: :em: :pl:

I'm sure most people will think Danann/Mab is OP on this map. So you can say that maps also influence the balance between cabals or atleast how it is percieved.

I think Mika was referencing the win statistics between the cabals. Perhaps the ratio top players vs newer players is different for Zahir and Bearclaw leading to paradoxical statements. He does have a certain point if everyone above a rating of 1700 started playing Danann, Danann would quickly become a strong cabal if you look at the kind of opponent you get.

Just be happy that they are doing something, then afterwards we can all start complaining about what they did, repeat ad infinitum.

I think its pretty funny that I saw Little1 play blue vs my blue deck today and I won like 75% of games vs him, and now he is back playing yellow to gain his raiting up ;)
